10/30/12

The day Sandy hit. Winds were clocking upwards of 50 knots, sand was blowing like crazy, then it was raining. The offshore buoy recorded wave heights over 20ft! And there really wasnt much flying by. NO storm-petrels, or alcids, not even a freaking BLKI.

1 GBBG (first year bird)

This is a first winter GBBG trying to chase a HEGU away from a fish carcass, this is always what
happens to a GBBG when it gets hit by a 50 knot wind.

Scaup flying through the mountians (I mean waves).
