8/28/13

Today featured 6 hours of a fog hampered count, four of those six were spent in fog so thick you couldn't see the lighthouse from the lighthouse.

Did I mention what was either a light rain or a heavy mist that fell most of the day?

Anyways, what do you do when your fogged in on the pier?

Maybe this!

Or if your a Waterbird counter (and single), you search the lighthouses for Bats.

This Silver-haired Bat was re-adjusting its roosting position.

Birds?

Matt brought pizza to the count today, it was better then the birding.

 3 BWTE
35 DCCO (saved the day in the last hour with one flock of 34)
1 BBPL (whistled it in in the fog, bit never did see it)
1 SESA
3 BOGU
1 CATE
3 COTE

1 PEFA and 1 ad. BAEA somehow found the lake in the fog.
